From late '70s to early '90s Castrocaro bloomed because of its SPAs and the "Festival delle Voci e Volti Nuovi". Many young Italian now-superstars singers came there to win an access to the finale of the Sanremo Festival and a contract with a major music label. Tens of hotels were built without any rule back then and now that the time has past most of them are abandoned.
